TURBOCHARGER WARRANTY RETURN PROCESS

Warranty Return Policy and Guidelines

To ensure that your product is considered for warranty coverage, it is mandatory to follow the procedures outlined below. (Please note that submitting this form, following the procedures, and returning the turbocharger for warranty assessment does not imply that BBB Industries takes responsibility for any associated costs, nor does it confirm acceptance of the warranty claim. All warranty processes will be strictly adhered to, and no warranty service will be provided until the claim is validated.)

PROCESS:

  1. Complete the Claim Form:
    • Customers must fill out the claim form and provide all required information to receive an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) number from BBB Industries.
  2. Provide Supporting Evidence:
    • Attach as many pictures and provide as much information as possible to support your claim, including images of the damage, part numbers, and any relevant documentation. Use the upload file option to submit these materials.
  3. Do Not Ship Without RGA Number:
    • Customers must not ship the unit without first receiving an RGA number from us.
  4. Processing Time:
    • Allow approximately 3 business days for BBB Industries to process and respond to RGA requests. (Issuance of an RGA number does not imply acceptance of the warranty claim.)
  5. Rejected Shipments:
    • Any product that arrives without an RGA number will be rejected and returned at the customer's expense.
  6. Labeling Requirements:
    • The RGA number must be clearly written on the outside of the box and included on a document inside the box.

Once an RGA has been provided and properly noted as outlined above, ship the turbocharger to:

BBB Industries, LLC

7501 E. 26th Street,

Joplin, MO 64804

The warranty return must be made within 15 days of the failure and the submission of the claim to be considered for warranty coverage. All parts that were included with the unit when shipped (such as the actuator, actuator line, speed sensor, or temperature sensor, if applicable) must be returned with the unit for warranty consideration. Missing parts may result in a core credit deduction, inconclusive evaluation, or a denied claim.

Warranty return submissions can only be made by the original purchaser of the part from BBB Industries and are not transferable. BBB Industries may require additional information as proof of purchase to validate the submission. BBB Industries may request test data from any repair facility that diagnosed the failed unit, as well as data from the original installer and failure information for the product that the unit replaced.

We are not responsible for any additional parts sent with the unit, such as oil fittings, oil lines, coolant fittings, coolant lines, mounting hardware including adapters, mounting sleeves, mounting elbows, etc. Please remove these parts before sending the unit in. If not removed, these parts will be discarded or scrapped, and we cannot return, replace, or be held responsible for any costs incurred to replace them.

To receive full credit for returned items that have been deemed as an accepted warranty by manufacturing defect, you must follow these procedures.

The customer has 30 days from being notified of a denied warranty analysis outcome before the unit is sent back at the customer’s expense, in a disassembled state. If warranty is denied and requested to be returned to the customer, the unit will be in a disassembled state.

Return warranty freight is at the customer's expense until a failure determination is made. BBB Industries shall reimburse freight costs for any warrantable BBB-branded product found to have a manufacturing defect. Markup on freight will not be reimbursed. The customer agrees to ship the product to BBB Industries in the most economical way possible. BBB Industries will not reimburse any priority freight expenses unless prior authorization was given before returning the product. BBB Industries reserves the right to request receipts for freight expenses.

Products supplied by us that are branded by other companies are warranted pursuant to the terms and conditions provided by the brand under which they are sold. These products will be submitted to the original product manufacturer for analysis, which could take 4-8 weeks for results. For additional information on the manufacturer’s warranty for a specific part, please contact BBB Industries at 888-291-7797 or Joplinsales@bbbind.com.

Important Warranty/Installation Notice:

Please Complete Tasks Below To Prevent Voiding Of Part Warranty:
Visit BBB Industries Turbocharger Instructions for a Troubleshooting Matrix to confirm that the turbocharger and/or electronic actuator requires replacement
Confirm that the turbocharger unit part number matches purchase details and includes all components (electronic actuator if applicable)
Confirm that the turbocharger is not leaking oil
Confirm that the ECU is functioning properly, and the software is up to date
Confirm that the emissions related equipment has not been manipulated or removed
Inspect the compressor wheel and ensure it is free of any foreign object damage
Inspect oil and coolant lines for condition and any flow restriction
Failure to perform the above tasks could result in the voiding of part warranty!

Please ensure that the following steps were completed prior to installation:

  • Diagnose and Fix Original Cause of Turbo Failure: Ensure the original cause of turbo failure was diagnosed and fixed.
  • Replace Turbo Oil Supply Line: Replace the turbo oil supply line with a new one prior to installing the replacement turbocharger or cartridge. Using carb cleaner or solvent and blowing out the line is not sufficient to remove carbon or other foreign material. Failure to observe this precaution can result in premature turbo failure and warranty denial.
  • Inspect Intake and Exhaust Ducting: Ensure all ducting is free of any foreign objects or material. Damage to impeller/turbine blades due to negligence in this respect is not warrantable. Damage to the inner compressor blades/fins of the turbo can only be caused by debris.
  • Change Engine Oil and Filter: Change the engine oil and filter whenever removing and reinstalling the turbocharger or cartridge, even if reinstalling the old unit. Ensure you inspect the drain and feed lines and bypass valve.
  • Pre-Lubricate Turbocharger: Prior to starting the engine, disable the ignition system and crank the engine for 60 seconds or until oil pressure is indicated. Then start the engine and allow it to idle for a minimum of one minute before driving the vehicle. Drive the vehicle at low power for the first 50 miles.
  • Test Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) System: Ensure it is not clogged and is open and working correctly.

For additional troubleshooting support, contact our technical support team at (866) 593-5566 or email Turbotech@bbbind.com. Please note that diagnoses of failure by our technical support team do not guarantee acceptance of the claim due to the difficulty of identifying all root causes of failures by digital diagnosis. Some failures can only be diagnosed by physical disassembly inspection and testing.

Core and New Returns:

Both core returns and items that are returned unopened for a refund (new returns) are to be routed through a different claim process.
